The Lake
The Meherrin Tribe is located in Hertford County, North Carolina about 10 miles from their original reservation. The tribe maintains it's tribal traditions and heritage by celebrating with an annual Pow Wow. The Tribe meets throughout the year and on other occasions such as Thanksgiving and Christmas or just to have a family day.
The tribe holds monthly general body and council meetings in order to maintain tribal governance within the tribal entity. The tribe has met on a regular basis since 1975.
